This body of work brings together my photography with the timeless cyanotype process, one of the earliest forms of photographic printing. Each piece is hand-crafted, allowing sunlight itself to develop the images into their distinctive shades of blue.

Created under the open skies of south-west Queensland, the collection reflects both the land and the light that shapes it.

Every cyanotype is made by hand, using sunlight, chemistry, and water. Each print develops its own character through this process, meaning no two pieces are ever the same. Subtle variations and imperfections are not flaws but marks of authenticity, a reminder that these works are painted, quite literally, by the Queensland sun.

This is the beginning of an evolving collection, continuing to explore the delicate balance between old and new, and the beauty of imperfection.
